Pediatric, school-based, IEP, or special education physical therapy experience preferred About the Role We are seeking a Physical Therapist for a school-based contract opportunity in Jackson, Tennessee. This role provides evaluation, treatment, consultation, and support services for students with physical, developmental, and motor impairments. The Physical Therapist will work with teachers, parents, administrators, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other educational team members to support student mobility, safety, independence, and participation in school activities. Responsibilities Evaluate students' gross motor skills, mobility, balance, strength, coordination, endurance, and functional abilities Develop individualized physical therapy goals and intervention plans based on student needs and educational priorities Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services in classrooms, therapy settings, playgrounds, gyms, and other school environments Support students with mobility, transfers, positioning, gait, balance, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology needs Participate in IEP meetings, document student progress, and communicate with families and educational team members Requirements Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree Or Equivalent Degree From An Accredited Physical Therapy Program Required Current Physical Therapist License Or Eligibility For State Licensure Required Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy, developmental disabilities, and school-based practice preferred Experience with IEPs, special education services, student documentation, and educational team collaboration preferred Strong communication, organization, assessment, documentation, and collaboration skills required This school-based Physical Therapist opportunity is a strong fit for a licensed PT with pediatric, developmental, IEP, and student support experience.
