Position Overview As a Licensed Massage Therapist, you will provide professional massage services designed to support relaxation, recovery, mobility, and overall wellness while working within your education, training, and scope of practice. You may work with a diverse population that includes active adults, athletes, fitness members, individuals participating in sports performance programs, and clients seeking general wellness and recovery services. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, builds strong client relationships, and wants to help develop an exceptional recovery experience at Extraordinary Wellness Center. Responsibilities Provide professional massage therapy services within your scope of practice and applicable Tennessee regulations. Conduct appropriate client intake and identify relevant goals, concerns, and preferences. Develop individualized massage sessions based on client needs and professional training. Apply appropriate massage techniques safely and professionally. Provide services that may support relaxation, mobility, recovery, and general wellness. Maintain accurate and appropriate client and treatment documentation. Educate clients regarding appropriate recovery and wellness strategies within your scope of practice. Communicate professionally with clients before, during, and after sessions. Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and professional treatment environment. Follow all applicable health, safety, privacy, and facility procedures. Collaborate with trainers, coaches, physical therapists, and other wellness professionals when appropriate and within applicable professional boundaries. Participate in wellness events, workshops, community programs, and recovery initiatives. Contribute ideas and feedback to help develop and improve the Recovery & Wellness department. Maintain professional development and stay current with appropriate massage and recovery practices. Provide an exceptional client experience that encourages trust, professionalism, and long-term relationships. Preferred Qualifications Current Tennessee Massage Therapist license. Sports massage experience. Experience working with athletes or active adults. Experience in athletic recovery or performance environments. Knowledge of recovery, mobility, and soft-tissue techniques. Prenatal massage or other specialized training is a plus. Experience working alongside fitness, sports performance, physical therapy, or healthcare professionals is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer-service skills. Professional, dependable, and punctual. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and client confidentiality. Passion for helping people improve their overall wellness and quality of life.
