1 Description American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist for a Level III trauma center, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification. Details Inpatient acute care setting at a Level III trauma center Patient population includes telemetry, ortho, surgical, critical care, neuro, oncology, and general medical cases, primarily adults and older teens Minimal exposure to pediatric patients, occasionally treating teenagers from trauma incidents Uses
MEDITECH EMR
Works alongside a rehab team of approximately 5 PTAs and 2-3 techs 10-hour shifts, 0800-1630, Monday-Friday with alternating weekends Comp day provided during the week for any weekend shifts worked Primary coverage at Bryan hospital with possible minimal coverage at College Station acute care hospital First to float No call requirements Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience required New graduates with less than 6 months experience considered if they have strong adult acute clinical background including trauma and critical care BLS certification required

experience helpful License required if applicable Copy of driver's license required to validate legal name matches government-issued ID Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Additional Information Primary responsibilities include completing evaluations, with an expectation of one completed eval per hour For patients receiving daily treatments, expectation is 10 completed treatments in an 8-hour shift Floor-specific orientation provided for 3-5 days depending on experience level with acute care, covering hospital procedures, EMR, and protocols May be asked to precept as needed by the unit Holiday coverage required on an alternating basis Maroon scrubs required Call-outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year Candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
