Job Description

Mercy's Touch Physical Therapy and Wellness provides compassion rehabilitation to individuals in the home setting.
Essential Functions:
PT Our Physical Therapists (PTs) examine and treat patients with physical impairments through the use of physical modalities. The goal is to assist persons who are physically challenged to improve mobility and function, independent self-care, other skills necessary for functioning in daily living. Our Physical Therapists (PTs) use their expertise to assist with balance, fall prevention, back safety, pre/post op rehab, and generalized wellness programs.
Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program Current professional licensure as a Physical Therapist or license eligible based on the rules and regulations of the state in which you are applying for role Current CPR Certification PTA Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, PTA is at all times responsible to follow all state specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy: Following the plan of care, instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training. Observes, records, and reports to the supervising PT, the supervising nurse, and/or the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition. Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in the areas of therapy in which they can participate to assist the patient. Visits patient according to Plan of Treatment; complete a progress note for each visit and submits progress notes per policy. Participates in developing the Plan of Treatment.
Education & Experience:
License Requirements Current licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice. Current CPR certification is required. Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation. Liability Insurance New Grads are welcome! Summary As a PRN Physical Therapist/ Physical Therapy Assistant, you will provide essential patient care in the home setting. Your core skills in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology will be vital in developing effective care plans and implementing therapeutic interventions. With a focus on geriatrics, you will assist in supporting patients in their recovery journey.
