Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team. The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, primarily from motor vehicle collisions and other accidents, at multiple clinic locations. The PT works alongside each location's treating chiropractor, directs the active rehabilitation component of care, and maintains documentation that accurately reflects each patient's condition, treatment, and response to care. Responsibilities Perform initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and discharge evaluations, including history, standardized functional outcome measures (e.g., NDI, Oswestry, LEFS, QuickDASH), range of motion, strength, special tests, and functional testing. Establish an individualized plan of care with measurable, time-bound functional goals. Set frequency and duration based on examination findings, and adjust them based on the patient's documented response to care. Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, therapeutic activities, gait and functional training, and home exercise program instruction. Discharge patients when goals are met, progress plateaus, or care is no longer clinically indicated, regardless of case status or payment arrangement. Coordinate care with the treating chiropractor, including a clear division of services to avoid duplicated treatment on the same date of service. Recommend referral to medical specialists or advanced imaging when clinically indicated, and document the clinical basis. Supervise physical therapist assistants and rehab aides, if assigned, in accordance with Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners rules. Practice within Texas referral and direct-access requirements, and confirm a valid referral is on file where one is required.
