9544424-79936 Job Description Step into a rewarding role as a part-time Physical Therapist supporting Special Education students during the 2026/2027 academic year. This contract position focuses on providing expert PT services to students aged 322, enabling their growth and participation across diverse school settingsclassrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and even virtual environments. Your expertise will help shape individualized plans that create meaningful learning experiences and more inclusive school communities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Texas Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program, including required fieldwork Adherence to the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners' standards and ethics Valid drivers license School-based or pediatric experience (preferred) Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality Dedication to ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy services to support students educational access and development Participate in referrals, assessments, and assistive technology evaluations Contribute to IEP meetings, goal-setting, and transition planning with school staff and families Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide updates to interdisciplinary teams Train and support educational staff on standards-based IEP goals, adaptive equipment, and best PT practices Remain current with new techniques, policies, and professional requirements Complete additional responsibilities as directed by the
Director of Special Education Required Documentation:
