Desired Qualifications:
Valid and current Physical Therapy license Previous experience providing physical therapy services in a school setting is preferred, but open to motivated new graduates dedicated to the field Understanding of school-based IEP development and implementation Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff Compassionate, flexible, and organized approach to managing a caseload of diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to determine their physical therapy needs within the school environment Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support mobility, participation, and access in academic settings Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other staff to facilitate student progress Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing expertise in goal-setting and student support Maintain thorough documentation of student assessments, progress reports, and treatment records as required Educate staff and families on supportive strategies and therapeutic techniques to ensure carryover of skills This is a rewarding opportunity to use your talents and passion for pediatric therapy in a school environment where you'll see the difference you make every day.
