Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist skilled in school-based settings. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week, working with a diverse K-12 population. The assignment runs from ASAP through May 20, 2027. You will serve a caseload of 37 students, providing a blend of consultation and direct services, and collaborate closely with school staff. The assignment excludes working on staff development days—enjoy nearly one day a month for personal time. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations and assessments, writing detailed progress reports, delivering consultative and direct PT services, and ensuring top-quality care for every student on your caseload. Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential, as you'll serve as a vital member of the multidisciplinary team. Candidates with experience in K-12 settings are preferred, and the position is open to both local and travel therapists. The school may also consider a creative staffing solution, with the potential for a full-time PTA and a part-time supervising PT.
Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist license Experience delivering PT services in schools or pediatric settings Strong reporting and evaluation skills Ability to manage a mixed consult and direct service caseload Effective time management Flexibility to respond to changes within the assignment (including the possibility of a 30-day notice if a direct hire is found) Open to both PTs and PTAs (with appropriate supervision) Enjoy the predictability of a school schedule with no weekend or development day requirements, and the excitement of making a genuine impact on students' lives.
