Role Overview As a Pediatric Physical Therapist at BrightStar Care , you will provide one-on-one physical therapy services to children in the comfort of their homes throughout the DFW area . You'll work closely with children, parents, caregivers, and our healthcare team to support developmental progress, improve mobility and physical function, and help each child achieve meaningful rehabilitation goals. This position offers the flexibility to build your schedule around your availability while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. Key Responsibilities Evaluate children's physical abilities, mobility, strength, coordination, balance, and developmental needs. Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's functional abilities and therapy goals. Provide age-appropriate, engaging, and developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions. Help children improve mobility, balance, coordination, strength, motor skills, and functional independence. Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as needed to support continued development. Educate and support parents and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home exercises, positioning, mobility strategies, and ways to support progress between visits. Document patient progress accurately and communicate effectively with clinical staff and other healthcare providers. Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and other members of the child's care team to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. Provide compassionate, family-centered care while working independently in the home environment. Qualifications You're a great fit if you have the following skills: Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas . Pediatric physical therapy experience preferred. Experience in home health, outpatient pediatrics, or other pediatric therapy settings preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patients' homes throughout the service area.
Bonus If You:
Have experience working with children with developmental delays or other pediatric conditions. Are bilingual, especially in Spanish. Have experience with pediatric developmental milestones and early intervention. Possess relevant certifications or specialized training in pediatric physical therapy or therapy techniques. Employment Type & Availability PRN | Flexible Schedule This position is PRN , allowing you to accept patient visits based on your availability and patient needs. Hours and visits are not guaranteed and may vary based on patient census and availability. Location This position is home-based , serving pediatric patients throughout the DFW area , with the ability to travel to patients' homes within the assigned service area.
