9544424-79853 Job Description Take on a dynamic opportunity as a part-time Physical Therapist working in a supportive school-based setting for the 2026/2027 school year. This role focuses on fostering student engagement and growth for learners ages 322 receiving Special Education services. As an integral member of the educational environment, youll collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to deliver physical therapy across diverse school settings, adapting support as needed for classrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias, and virtual environments.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Texas state license as a Physical Therapist Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program and completion of all fieldwork Valid drivers license Adherence to Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners regulations and code of ethics
Preferred:
Pediatric and/or prior school-based physical therapy experience
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy services tailored to each students needs Participate in the referral process, assessments, and IEP development, including supporting assistive technology and adaptive equipment Present assessment findings during annual, review, and dismissal meetings Assist with writing and implementing standards-based IEP goals in collaboration with educational staff Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with policies and standards Consult and communicate professionally with staff and families, maintaining confidentiality at all times Stay current with best practices and participate in ongoing professional growth activities Support transitions and additional duties as assigned by the
