Work Environment The facility is equipped with the latest sports medicine technology and therapeutic modalities to support our patients' recovery journeys. The current work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while meeting the needs of our growing patient population. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations to determine the goals and requirements of each patient, ensuring a personalized approach to care. Maintain a patient load of approximately two individuals per hour, allowing for attentive and comprehensive treatment sessions. Administer a range of effective therapies designed to enhance patients' range of motion and mobility, focusing on minimizing reliance on medication by proposing non-surgical alternatives. Develop and implement detailed treatment and rehabilitation plans utilizing various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and exercise programs. Create customized fitness and wellness programs that address the unique physical conditions and aspirations of each patient. Provide high-quality, evidence-based care, motivating patients throughout their recovery and encouraging a proactive approach to their health. Develop collaborative relationships with other healthcare providers to enhance integrated care for patients. Regularly assess patient outcomes, monitor progress, and maintain accurate, meaningful documentation of services provided. Patient Population / Client Focus Our facility primarily caters to individuals seeking rehabilitation after orthopedic surgeries or injuries, such as fractures, joint replacements, and sports injuries. By focusing on enhancing our clients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, we aim to support them in achieving their optimal physical performance and quality of life. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required. Current license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia. A clean record free from any board or disciplinary actions on your license. Proven proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the design of exercise programs tailored for individual patients. Experience utilizing electronic medical record software such as WebPT for managing patient data efficiently. Preferred Experience We are particularly interested in candidates with at least two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting, showcasing a strong ability to manage diverse patient needs and preferences effectively.
