Work Environment As a Physical Therapist at our onsite home care facility, you will work within a collaborative environment alongside two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our team-oriented approach fosters communication and mutual support, allowing for an excellent patient experience. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, giving you consistent hours while providing ample opportunities to engage with patients and enhance therapeutic practices. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with patients to identify their rehabilitation goals and individual needs, tailoring treatment plans to ensure effectiveness. Conduct patient assessments to evaluate their current physical capabilities and limitations, establishing baseline measurements for progress tracking. Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring a high standard of care and attention to each client's unique situation. Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, to enhance patients' mobility and function. Develop and implement cost-effective treatment strategies that reduce reliance on medications and may serve as alternatives to surgical procedures. Create wellness programs focusing on fitness tailored to each patient's specific needs and lifestyle objectives. Motivate and engage patients during their recovery process to encourage adherence to prescribed treatment plans. Regularly evaluate and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary based on their evolving needs. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care and coordinate treatments effectively. Patient Population / Client Focus Our facility primarily serves orthopedic patients who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions affecting their musculoskeletal systems. We provide tailored interventions aimed at improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, empowering clients to lead healthier, active lives. Our commitment to patient-centric care ensures that each individual receives personalized attention throughout their rehabilitation journey. Qualifications A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution. Current Virginia State Physical Therapist License with no board actions or disciplinary actions on record. Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to document patient care activities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse patient population. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient physical therapy setting is highly desirable. Demonstrated success in developing individualized treatment plans and achieving patient engagement. Compensation and Benefits This physical therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
