In this full-time role, you will be a crucial partner for our patients on their journey to recovery, focusing on restoring mobility and enhancing functional outcomes. Our facility boasts a state-of-the-art 5,000 square feet sports medicine environment equipped to support a variety of therapeutic techniques. We primarily work with private medical insurance carriers, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care without the complexities often associated with wider healthcare networks. Work Environment You will work primarily in an onsite setting, directly with patients in our advanced facility. As part of a collaborative team of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will engage with a diverse patient population, focusing primarily on individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic issues. Our working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments to identify each patient's goals and needs, tailoring treatment plans accordingly. Manage a patient load of 2-3 patients per hour, providing focused and efficient care. Utilize your orthopedic outpatient experience to develop and implement effective treatment strategies. Deliver cost-effective therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' mobility and function. Advocate for alternatives to medication and surgery, enhancing patient outcomes through holistic means. Create customized fitness and wellness programs that align with patients' unique requirements. Provide evidence-based care, utilizing proven techniques to maximize rehabilitation success. Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey to help them achieve optimal function. Promote healthy lifestyle choices by working on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for every patient. Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes and communicate progress effectively with patients and care teams. Document all patient care services meticulously to maintain accurate records and facilitate continuity of care. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, including post-operative rehabilitation and trauma rehabilitation. You will work closely with individuals from various backgrounds to help them regain their strength, improve mobility, and achieve their functional goals. Our practice welcomes patients of all ages, ensuring a broad and diverse clientele. Qualifications A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program. A valid Virginia Physical Therapist License with no prior disciplinary actions. Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in therapeutic exercises. Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software such as WebPT is preferred. Preferred Experience While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with previous orthopedic outpatient experience are strongly preferred as you will need to immediately engage with our patient population. to 120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
