About the Organization Located in Annandale, Virginia, Flexibility First Physical Therapy is a state-of-the-art outpatient facility focused on sports medicine and comprehensive physical rehabilitation. Our facility boasts 5,000 square feet of advanced therapeutic space where patients benefit from innovative treatment modalities and evidence-based practices. Our small but dedicated team comprises two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) who work tirelessly to deliver personalized care to each patient. Work Environment Our work environment is collaborative and supportive, where teamwork is paramount. You will be working onsite in a vibrant outpatient office equipped with the latest technology to support rehabilitation efforts. The facility fosters a progressive culture that prioritizes continuous learning, professional development, and patient satisfaction. Your schedule will primarily consist of Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities You will assess and recognize the individual goals and needs of each patient, formulating tailored treatment plans accordingly. Maintain a manageable patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring high-quality and meaningful interactions. Utilize a variety of cost-effective therapeutic approaches with the intention of improving clients' mobility and range of motion. Provide alternative pain management techniques that reduce reliance on medications and offer non-surgical options. Design and implement holistic treatment plans that integrate various rehabilitative techniques, ensuring that all therapeutic decisions are evidence-based. Encourage active patient participation by motivating them throughout their rehabilitation journey, enhancing their commitment to recovery. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Continuously evaluate patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed documentation of care provided. Patient Population / Client Focus Our practice predominantly serves individuals with private medical insurance, ranging from active adults to athletes recovering from sports injuries. We focus on a variety of orthopedic conditions, chronic pain, and rehabilitation following surgery or injury. Your personalized approach will be instrumental in helping clients achieve their rehabilitation goals, enhancing their physical capabilities, and improving their overall wellness. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia. Clean record without board or disciplinary actions associated with your license. Strong skills in manual therapy techniques, exercise program design and implementation. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, will be highly beneficial. Preferred Experience We strongly prefer candidates with previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, particularly who have dealt with a diverse patient population and a variety of conditions.
