Work Environment As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, you will primarily work onsite in the homes of your patients throughout Chantilly and the surrounding areas. This setting allows you to forge deeper connections with your patients and provide individualized care that fosters better outcomes. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, leveraging shared knowledge and resources to elevate the standard of care we provide. Key Responsibilities Conduct a thorough evaluation of patients referred by physicians to develop custom treatment programs that address their specific needs and goals. Implement and modify treatment plans based on patient progress, ensuring adherence to the physician's plan of care. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate recovery, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education. Engage with patients and their families to provide guidance and support, demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills. Document patient progress meticulously in electronic health records, tracking outcomes and adjusting therapies as needed. Meet established utilization goals and contribute to the overall success of the organization by participating in performance improvement initiatives. Patient Population / Client Focus Your role will encompass treating a diverse patient population, including individuals with orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine concerns. You will have the opportunity to address a wide range of conditions, enabling you to apply your clinical skills across multiple specialties. Dedicated to patient-centered care, you will focus on personalizing rehabilitation strategies that resonate with each client's preferences and lifestyles. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by APTA or CAPTE. Active State License in Physical Therapy, ensuring compliance with Virginia regulations. Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams. Proficiency in electronic documentation and basic computer software. Ability to establish and nurture positive relationships with patients to support their recovery journey. A genuine enthusiasm for connecting with individuals to motivate and empower them. Preferred Experience Previous experience in home health care or outpatient settings is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and outcomes assessments in physical therapy. A background in specialized therapies such as pediatric or sports medicine rehabilitation would be beneficial.
