Work Environment Located in Chantilly, Virginia, our rehabilitation center provides a modern and spacious setting for practicing physical therapy. As a member of the onsite orthopedic team, you will engage in a vibrant atmosphere that encourages teamwork and collaboration. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, orthopedic specialists, and support staff, to develop cohesive care plans for patients. Our center's design facilitates easy communication and patient management, ensuring all staff can deliver optimal care effectively. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, limitations, and needs, leading to the formulation of individualized treatment plans. Engage in ongoing patient assessments to monitor progress, adjusting treatment goals and methods as necessary to maximize patient recovery. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and provide comprehensive treatment that addresses all aspects of the patient's condition. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and functional independence in patients after orthopedic surgery or injury. Document all patient interactions and progress accurately, adhering to regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of communication within the team. Lead educational sessions for patients and families regarding treatment strategies, health maintenance, and injury prevention. Participate in department initiatives such as community outreach, staff training, and continuous quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction. Patient Population / Client Focus As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our center, you will primarily serve adult patients recovering from surgeries, fractures, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Your role will directly impact individuals who seek to regain their mobility and enhance their quality of life. Understanding the diverse backgrounds and health challenges of each patient enables you to provide personalized, culturally competent care. Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required. Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to effective patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to perform physical assessments and interpret results to formulate appropriate treatment plans. Preferred Experience Experience in orthopedic physical therapy is preferred, with familiarity in post-operative rehabilitation protocols. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges from
USD 100,000
to 120,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
