The outpatient practice focuses primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, which requires strong communication skills and a compassionate approach. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at meeting their rehabilitation goals. Provide hands-on care by employing various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and specific exercise regimens. Engage with an average of 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring that each session is tailored to the patient's current stage in their rehabilitation journey. Motivate and support patients throughout their treatment process to help them achieve optimal performance levels. Document patient care services meticulously, maintaining accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to offer a comprehensive approach to patient care. Develop and implement wellness and fitness programs that align with patients' recovery objectives. Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust treatment strategies accordingly. Patient Population / Client Focus Our primary focus is on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, including but not limited to joint replacements, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We strive to empower our patients by promoting safe, effective intervention strategies that lessen their reliance on medication and reduce the necessity for surgical options whenever possible. By maintaining close communication and monitoring progress, we ensure that patients feel supported throughout their rehabilitation journey. Qualifications Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution. Current Virginia Physical Therapist License, with no disciplinary actions or board actions. Proven hands-on therapy skills, specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings. Strong knowledge of exercise therapy techniques and modalities. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate patient engagement. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient physical therapy setting. Experience working with diverse patient populations, understanding the unique challenges faced by patients in a home care environment. Compensation and Benefits We offer an annual salary range of
USD 100,000
