Job Description
Job Summary Our growing outpatient physical therapy clinic in Gainesville , Virginia is looking for a Physical Therapist to join our team. Candidates must be confident working in an outpatient setting and must have strong interpersonal and manual skills. Seeking a professional with experience that is self motivated and willing to challenge themselves professionally; while also maintaining current skills focused on evidenced based practice. Must be committed to delivering personalized patient care, resulting in better outcomes and successful patient experiences. Flexible schedule. No weekends required. DPT or PT candidates only please. Compensation based on experience Responsibilities Assess patients' physical conditions through comprehensive evaluations, including mobility, strength, and functional ability assessments. Develop and implement individualized care plans focusing on rehabilitation goals for patients across pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and other specialties. Administer therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and exercise programs to promote recovery. Coordinate discharge planning and transition patients smoothly from inpatient to outpatient or home & community care settings. Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans accordingly to optimize outcomes. Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR systems in compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and health maintenance strategies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain current knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and advancements in physiotherapy techniques. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist with relevant state or regional licensing boards. Proven experience in acute care, inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, home health services, or community care environments. Strong knowledge of care plans for diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management. Experience with discharge planning and developing individualized treatment strategies. Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedics. Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care principles. Prior experience working with home & community care is preferred but not required.
