Work Environment The physical therapist will work onsite at our modern rehabilitation center, equipped with the latest advancements in sports medicine. This collaborative environment fosters teamwork, where healthcare professionals work together to provide comprehensive care tailored to the needs of each patient. The work hours are Monday to Friday, with shifts available from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, enabling a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Evaluate patient conditions and develop customized treatment plans aimed at addressing their unique rehabilitation goals. Provide hands-on therapy and utilize advanced techniques to facilitate efficient recovery, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training. Ensure a manageable patient load to maintain a high standard of individualized care and attention. Monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments. Document all patient interactions and progress accurately using EMR software, specifically WebPT, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, exercises, and self-management strategies to promote ongoing health and wellness. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and nutritionists, to enhance patient outcomes. Promote a sports-oriented culture within the clinic, encouraging patients to adopt healthy habits and improve their physical performance. Patient Population / Client Focus At Body Holistics Rehab Center, our clients primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, sports-related conditions, and surgeries. We cater to a diverse population seeking rehabilitation and pain management services. Our focus is on educating patients to become active participants in their recovery, creating an empowering environment conducive to healing. Qualifications A doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution. Active and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia. A strong foundation in the field with exceptional skills in various manual therapy techniques. A proven ability to develop and implement effective therapeutic exercise programs based on individual needs. Knowledgeable in current physical therapy practices, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to ensure precise and comprehensive documentation of patient care. Preferred Experience Previous experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is highly desirable. Background in sports medicine or rehabilitation, with familiarity in treating athletes and active individuals. Ability to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and families effectively.
