Position Overview Tashiro Therapeutic Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Portsmouth, Virginia. This full-time position is integral to our rehabilitation center, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient mobility, managing pain, and promoting overall health and wellness. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored therapeutic interventions that meet each patient's unique needs. Our onsite work environment promotes collaboration and allows physical therapists to work closely with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including histories and physical assessments, to develop individualized treatment plans. Clearly communicate evaluation findings and treatment strategies to patients and their families, ensuring full participation in the goal-setting process. Implement targeted treatment protocols using evidence-based practices and adapt those protocols in response to patient progress and evolving healthcare standards. Collaborate effectively with a team of healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care, making necessary modifications to treatment plans as conditions change. Document all aspects of patient care, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, maintaining compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Create and manage discharge plans and follow-up care instructions to optimize patient recovery and ensure a smooth transition from therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. Our focus is on providing personalized care that enhances mobility, increases strength, and improves overall quality of life for each patient. Qualifications A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia. A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent degree from an accredited program. Strong knowledge of physical therapy modalities and techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating independence in clinical decision-making. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, prior experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is preferred. Candidates with additional certifications in specialized areas of therapy, such as orthopedics or sports medicine, will have an advantage. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proven expertise in patient management are also beneficial. Compensation and Benefits This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from
USD 100,000
to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
