Position Overview Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Suffolk, Virginia. As a key member of our orthopedic outpatient practice, you will be instrumental in partnering with patients on their journey toward recovery, helping them restore mobility and achieve their personal health goals. About the Organization Gotham Enterprises Ltd is a leading rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Suffolk, Virginia. Specializing in orthopedic outpatient care, we pride ourselves on our state-of-the-art 5000 square feet sports medicine facility equipped with the latest technology and resources to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Our dedicated team of physical therapists and support staff work collaboratively to provide personalized care tailored to each patient. We primarily accept private medical insurance carriers, allowing us to focus on delivering exceptional treatment without the constraints of governmental guidelines. Work Environment This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility, which fosters a collaborative and patient-focused atmosphere. You will work alongside a small team, consisting of two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), who are all committed to delivering evidence-based care. Our facility encourages professional development and supports a culture of continuous learning and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Engage with patients to identify their specific goals and customize treatment plans that meet their individual needs. Conduct thorough evaluations and develop evidence-based care plans utilizing various treatment techniques and modalities. Provide hands-on physical therapy, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to improve patient mobility and functionality. Evaluate patient progress regularly, adapting treatment strategies to ensure optimal recovery and outcomes. Create and implement fitness and wellness programs tailored to enhance patient strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Consult with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, care services provided, and progress toward goals. Motivate patients through encouraging communication and support, fostering a positive mindset toward recovery. Stay current on best practices and new treatment techniques in physical therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will work with a diverse population, tailoring treatment programs to the unique needs of each patient to promote recovery and enhance their quality of life. Qualifications A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution. A valid Virginia Physical Therapist License, free from any board or disciplinary actions. Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in therapeutic exercises, with a commitment to continuing education. Knowledge and experience in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT, for documentation and patient tracking. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is required. Familiarity with the unique challenges and treatment methodologies in this environment will enhance your effectiveness in the role.
