Position Overview LifeMotion Physical Therapy and Balance Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journeys, directly impacting their recovery and quality of life. Working in home care settings within Suffolk, Virginia, you will develop individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility and optimizing overall health outcomes. As a Physical Therapist, you will work onsite, conducting in-home evaluations and treatments that provide convenience and comfort for our patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients to identify their physical needs and unique challenges. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities, exercises, and rehabilitation techniques. Utilize state-of-the-art tools and methodologies to track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families about their conditions and empower them to engage actively in their rehabilitation processes. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other healthcare professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Document patient records thoroughly, maintaining accurate progress notes that facilitate communication and continuity of care. Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy practices to continuously improve our patient care programs. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. You will work with individuals across all age groups, from young athletes to senior patients seeking to regain mobility. Your role will include not just treating injuries but also promoting preventative care through education and lifestyle management. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred. Current Virginia state license to practice as a Physical Therapist. At least 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a clinical setting is preferred, though we welcome applications from newly graduated therapists with a passion for patient care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families. A positive attitude, resilience under pressure, and a collaborative spirit are essential traits for success in this role. Preferred Experience Experience working with orthopedic rehabilitation or home care settings. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining detailed patient documentation. Specialized training in therapeutic modalities such as aquatic therapy, manual therapy, or sports rehabilitation. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this full-time Physical Therapist position ranges from
USD 90,000
to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, and generous paid time off (2-3 weeks per year). You will also have access to continuing education funding of $1,500 - $2,500 to support your professional development and growth.
