Position Overview Resurge Rehab & Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in Vienna, Virginia. This full-time position primarily operates onsite and offers a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents to assess their physical abilities and rehabilitation needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at restoring strength, mobility, and functionality in patients. Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and assistive devices to help residents achieve their rehabilitation goals. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and holistic treatment approaches. Educate patients and their caregivers about treatment protocols, safe mobility practices, and home exercise routines. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions, ensuring adherence to all relevant state and federal regulations. Participate in discharge planning by evaluating functional outcomes and recommending appropriate post-rehabilitation support services or equipment. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on geriatric patients who require rehabilitation following surgery, injury, and chronic illness management. Working closely with short-term and long-term residents, you will play a pivotal role in their recovery journeys, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. A compassionate approach to geriatric care is essential as you address not only their physical needs but also their emotional and psychological wellbeing. Qualifications Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree. Current Virginia Physical Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain one). Active CPR certification or the willingness to obtain certification upon hiring. Strong interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on empathy and patience. Excellent critical thinking and time management abilities. Preferred Experience A minimum of two years of experience in a skilled nursing environment or outpatient rehabilitation, focusing on geriatrics. Prior involvement in developing interdisciplinary treatment plans and collaborating across healthcare disciplines. A genuine passion for nurturing the physical health and wellbeing of older adults. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is competitive, with salaries between $90,000 to $120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
