Position Overview Empire Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled physical therapist for our outpatient clinic located in the vibrant community of West McLean, Virginia. Work Environment The position is based onsite in our outpatient clinic in West McLean, VA, where you will work Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a structured schedule that allows for a healthy work-life balance. You will be part of a dynamic team that values professional growth and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized, one-on-one care, focusing on each patient's unique recovery goals and personal needs. Maintain an appropriate patient load to ensure dedicated time and attention are given to each client. Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care to guide treatment strategies based on evidence-based practices. Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's conditions, preferences, and treatment goals. Focus on providing non-surgical, cost-effective treatment options to minimize a reliance on medications when possible. Inspire motivation in patients through encouragement and support to enhance their participation in therapy. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Continuously evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans according to their recovery trajectory. Document services provided meticulously using EMR software, specifically proficiency with WebPT for accurate record-keeping. Promote an active, healthy lifestyle with a focus on strength, flexibility, and overall wellness. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on outpatient clients, ranging from athletes recovering from injuries to individuals managing chronic conditions affecting mobility. This diverse patient population requires a compassionate approach to care that emphasizes personalized treatment pathways, functional rehabilitation, and education on lifestyle modifications that enhance physical health. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is mandatory for application An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia with a track record of impeccable practice, free from sanctions or board proceedings. Extensive knowledge of various manual therapy techniques and their application in treatment. Demonstrated success in creating and implementing effective exercise programs based on patient-specific needs. Proficiency in using WebPT or other EMR software for accurate documentation and patient management. Strong familiarity with the latest in physiotherapy techniques and trends grounded in research. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in an outpatient environment.
