Location:
McLean, VA/Bethesda, MD (Minimum 4 days a week ONSITE)Role OverviewWe are seeking an Enterprise Architecture Modeler to support the development, documentation, and maintenance of enterprise architecture models for a transformation program. This role will focus on creating structured architecture views that align specific platforms with enterprise architecture standards. The position involves maintaining the enterprise architecture repository, developing architecture viewpoints, and ensuring traceability between business capabilities, processes, applications, and integrations. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain enterprise architecture models using ArchiMate to represent business, application, data, and technology layers.
Develop and maintain enterprise-level Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), translating business and data requirements into logical and physical data models.
Maintain architecture artifacts and diagrams within Sparx Enterprise Architect.
Support the development of end-to-end architecture views for CLM, S2P, and Finance domains.
Collaborate with solution architects, system integrators, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture models.
Document system interactions, integrations, and data flows across various platforms.
Support architecture governance by ensuring models remain aligned with enterprise standards.
Assist in documenting integration patterns, system dependencies, and architecture decisions.
Maintain traceability between business capabilities, processes, applications, and technology components.
Produce architecture artifacts to support program planning, design reviews, and stakeholder communication.
Required QualificationsEducation:
A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Business Information Technology, or a related technical field is required.
Experience:
This position requires 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, systems modeling, or architecture documentation roles. A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience using ArchiMate for enterprise architecture modeling is also required.
Technical Skills:
Candidates must have experience maintaining architecture repositories and producing architecture models using Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA) or similar tools (e.g., Visual Paradigm, Modelio, Archi). Experience developing multi-layer architecture models spanning business, application, data, and technology domains is necessary. Preferred QualificationsA Master's degree in Enterprise Architecture, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or Business Administration.
Experience modeling decision logic using DMN.Experience with UML for system or application modeling.
Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar.
Experience supporting architecture modeling across ERP, CLM, procurement, or finance platform ecosystems.
Experience supporting enterprise platform transformations involving ERP, CLM, or financial systems.
