We are currently hiring for Snohomish County, Washington, and Whatcom County, WA. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Physical or Occupational Therapists to join our team. The Washington Elks Therapy Program for Children, Inc. is a non-profit, home based therapy program serving children birth to 21 years of age. We have no third party payers. Our services are fully funded by the Elks of Washington State and offered at no charge to our families. This allows us to focus our attention on the needs of our clients rather than reimbursement. Work out of your home office, control your own schedule and caseload! This is an ideal position for the therapist who works well independently and values quality interactions with families. This is an excellent opportunity to be of service to the community. Small caseloads of 23-25 clients and excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, continuing education, 401K, vacation, sick, and available additional AFLAC coverages. Our Mission Statement:
The Washington Elks Therapy Program for Children provides in-home Occupational or Physical therapy service to children birth to 21 who have developmental delay or physical disabilities. These services are provided under the direction of a physician at no cost to families. Preference is given to infants and young children, those who are medically fragile or who would otherwise go without services because of health status, transportation problems, or lack of other resources, and to children who without therapy will experience deterioration in their status. Each therapist, under the supervision of the Therapy Supervisor, is responsible for determining priorities within his/her caseload at any given time. Services are provided in the home with the parent/guardian present. Exceptions are occasionally made to provide services at other community sites when there is a designated adult present to follow through with therapy program between visits and appropriate written permission from parent/guardian is in place. Responsibilities Conduct assessments of patients to determine their physical and occupational therapy needs. Develop client goals based on assessment findings, patient goals, and clinical best practices. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' abilities and overall well-being. Provide case management support, coordinating with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients and their families about home programs and strategies for managing their conditions. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, with treatment session documentation and progress notes at least every 6 months. Participate in discharge and transition planning. Stay updated on advancements in therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Attend semi-annual Elks Therapist conference 2-3 days, Spring & Fall. Requirements A degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical or Occupational Therapist. Therapists must reside in the unit/area they serve. Strong case management, organizational, and time management skills are preferred. Experience working with pediatric populations and individuals with disabilities. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and treat a variety of diagnoses and ages. Dedication to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families.
