Responsibilities Assist physical therapists with patient intake, transfer methods, and positioning to facilitate effective therapy sessions. Support patients during manual handling and rehabilitation exercises, ensuring safety and comfort at all times. Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, treatment notes, and confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations. Prepare treatment areas, manage equipment, and ensure cleanliness to uphold hygiene standards within the clinic. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures, and fostering a welcoming environment. Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals. Assist with hospital or outpatient clinic operations, including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment when necessary for patient transfers or therapy setups. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation principles relevant to physiotherapy. Experience practicing in a physical therapy role or supporting physiotherapy services within hospital or outpatient settings. Proficiency in patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques to ensure safety during mobility assistance. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically. Familiarity with hospital medicine, inpatient/outpatient care environments, and post-acute or sub-acute care settings. Knowledge of CPR certification and adherence to safety protocols for acute care situations. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics during rehabilitation support activities.
