In this vital role, you will assist licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional patient care across outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital units, and post-acute care settings. Responsibilities Prepare treatment areas and assist with the setup of therapy equipment for patient sessions Support physical therapists by guiding patients through prescribed exercises and activities Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, documenting observations accurately Assist with patient intake procedures, including gathering medical histories and explaining treatment plans Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces, ensuring safety standards are upheld Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance the overall care experience Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records in compliance with privacy regulations Experience Prior experience working in hospital, outpatient clinic, or post-acute care environments is highly desirable Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively support clinical activities Hands-on experience with inpatient or outpatient physical therapy settings, especially within orthopedics or geriatrics Familiarity with acute care or sub-acute care environments enhances ability to adapt quickly to diverse patient needs Strong commitment to patient service and care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times Previous exposure to hospital medicine or outpatient clinics provides a solid foundation for success in this role This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in healthcare while providing compassionate support to patients on their journey toward recovery.
