Job Description

You're working toward an exercise science degree or certification (i.e. CPT or Kineseology, PTA or perhaps you are already certified) — and you want hands on experience with how movement heals people. You want to understand what corrective exercise looks like in a clinical setting. You wantsupervised hours that actually mean something. This role is that bridge. At Restor Physical Therapy, we've been setting the standard in Newport Beach for over 30 years. We specialize in rehabilitating patients to their highest level of function and beyond. Our therapists are hands-on, highly skilled, and they don't rush. Every session. Every patient. As a Physical Therapy and Corrective Exercise Associate, you'll get real exposure to clinical physical therapy in a supervised, educational environment while building the foundational skills you'll carry into every certification, degree, and career step that follows. What You'll Do Shadow a assist licensed Physical Therapist as they guide patients through therapeutic exercise programs Learn to prepare treatment areas, equipment, and materials in a clinical setting Observe patient intake, assessment, and treatment planning processes Assist with patient set-up, positioning, and basic exercise cueing under direct supervision Build familiarity with corrective movement protocols, injury mechanics, and rehabilitation progressions Support across specialty areas including orthopedics, sports rehab, balance and fall prevention, and return-to-running What Makes This Internship DiƯerent You'll work alongside licensed therapists, not just check in boxes on a clipboard Exposure to a clinic that uses Restor's proprietary Rehabilitation Grid A fast paced growth centered culture, we invest in the people learning alongside us Real clinical hours to reference in CPT exam applications, graduate school applications, or future employer conversations A foot in the door at one of Newport Beach's most established and respected PT Clinics Who We're Looking For Currently pursuing a CPT certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, or equivalent) OR enrolled in an Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Pre-Physical Therapy, or related undergraduate program or recent graduate. Graduate level students may qualify for advanced placement. Motivated self-starter who is curious about human movement and clinical Rehabilitation Outgoing, professional, and comfortable engaging with patients of varying ages and backgrounds Valid CPR/AED Certification (or willingness to obtain before start date) No prior clinical experience required, coachability and a growth mindset are what we're after Desire to grow and be part of our growth community is preferred!
