Our Physical Therapist treats one patient per 30 minutes, followed by their assigned aide to continue with the exercise program and modalities. This gives patients the most personalized treatment to sports related injuries, orthopedic, balance and vestibular impairments. Patients will vary from high school athletes to active seniors. We believe in providing employees with ongoing training and teaching while on the job. If you are interested in attending PT school and pursuing a career as a physical therapist, working with our team will help prepare you for the orthopedic world, and possibly earn a recommendation letter Ultimately, we want you to provide patients an excellent professional experience at our clinic. This type of experience will both improve you as future PT and the patient's positive outcomes, will make them want to return for any future needs. Responsibilities /
Duties:
  • Provide exceptional and professional environment for patients, so they will look forward to coming back.
  • Develop patient trust through active communication about the performance and goals of their exercise program.
  • Direct and monitor patients through a plan of therapeutic exercises paying attention to detail.
  • Accurately and timely enter therapeutic exercises into patient charts.
  • Print/email home exercise programs (HEP2GO) or WebPt.
  • Apply modalities (ice, heat, laser, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, etc)
  • General clinic tasks (including light cleaning, bathroom, laundry, stock supplies and light front office tasks).
  • Be able to dress professionally, handle phone calls and take a messages.
Qualifications /
Skills:
  • Bachelors degree preferred (Kinesiology or related field preferred) but will consider junior or senior year applicants.
  • Being friendly and recalling names to make patients feel comfortable and welcome.
  • Be able to hold a professional conversation with a patient (15-20 minutes) during treatment without loosing track of the performance of the exercises .
  • Self motivated / self starter who performs assigned tasks without having to be directed.
  • Demonstrate an ability to quickly understand and absorb new information.
  • Excellent ability to multitask, by maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Dependable, timely and professional attire at all times.. (Prior experience working as a physical therapy aide is preferred) Benefits to you:
