Job Description
Job Summary As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting physical therapists and occupational therapists at our Senior Community Setting. You'll assist with resident transportation to PT, help lead therapeutic exercise classes, support light office work, and help manage our social media presence. We're looking for someone organized, dependable, and responsible — comfortable both gathering and setting up residents for exercises and stepping in front of a class to lead it. Duties Escort patients to and from treatment areas and coordinate their availability Gather residents and set up equipment/space for exercise sessions Lead weekly group exercise/fitness classes, demonstrating movements and modifications for older adults Assist therapists during treatment sessions Manage and create content for the facility's social media accounts (posts, photos/videos of activities, event updates) Office work: maintaining documents and uploads, tracking insurance coverage Clean and maintain therapy equipment and therapy room Create and coordinate resident and therapy schedules Requirements Interest in working with an aging population of seniors ages 80-105 Strong organizational skills and dependability — able to manage schedules and follow through independently Comfortable leading and demonstrating exercises/fitness routines in front of a group Basic social media skills (posting, photo/video content, light content planning) Strong interpersonal and communication skills for providing quality care Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team Previous experience in a healthcare, fitness, or group-instruction setting is beneficial but not mandatory
