In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring smooth administrative operations while assisting with patient care activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting focused on rehabilitation, orthopedics, geriatrics, and post-acute care. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify appointments, and facilitate the intake process with accuracy and professionalism Manage front desk operations including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records in compliance with confidentiality standards Assist physical therapists during patient sessions by supporting manual handling, patient transfer methods, and rehabilitation care activities Prepare treatment areas, ensure equipment is sanitized, and assist with setup for therapy sessions Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits Support therapists with documentation of patient progress, updating medical terminology records, and maintaining detailed logs of treatment activities Uphold patient confidentiality at all times while adhering to hospital protocols and privacy regulations Experience Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient healthcare environment is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy practices Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods, manual handling techniques, and rehabilitation care assistance Familiarity with inpatient settings, acute care environments, orthopedics, geriatrics, and post-acute care workflows CPR certification and understanding of heavy lifting safety procedures are required Strong client communication skills paired with a compassionate approach to patient care Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings involving heavy lifting and physical activity while maintaining attention to detail Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through dedicated support and exceptional service.
