The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in delivering treatment plans, ensuring a supportive environment for patients undergoing rehabilitation. This role is crucial in helping patients regain their strength and mobility, contributing to their overall recovery process.

Duties include:

Supports physical therapy care delivery by preparing treatment area, patient, equipment, and materials, and performs procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant. Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Helps treat patients by applying modalities, helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion, tracking walking time and distance, measuring mobility, and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques. Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains physical therapy supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing, and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies. Ensuring cleanliness by sanitizing equipment, changing pillow and table covers, and managing laundry maintenance. Assisting in Scheduling and collection of patient payments. Assisting with home exercise program, mail, fax, copies, scanning, etc. Requirements Working on or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Anatomy or Physiology; experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Valid CPR Certification. Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while being attentive to individual patient needs.
