Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Physical Therapy Aide at Dameron Hospital provides essential support to licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants in the delivery of physical therapy services. The Aide assists in preparing patients and treatment areas, transporting patients, maintaining equipment, and supporting the therapy team in providing safe and effective care. This role contributes to the daily operations and quality of patient care by ensuring smooth workflows, a clean and safe environment, and timely assistance with patient-related tasks. The Physical Therapy Aide must demonstrate professionalism, initiative, effective communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care. This is a non-union position.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist therapy staff with patient preparation, transfers, and positioning during therapy sessions Transport patients to and from the therapy department as needed Prepare and clean treatment areas before and after therapy sessions in accordance with infection control protocols Set up and organize therapy equipment and supplies as directed Monitor patient comfort and safety during therapy activities and report concerns to supervising staff Maintain appropriate levels of supplies and ensure equipment is clean and in good working order Assist with clerical duties such as transporting documentation, organizing patient records, or communicating messages between departments Participate in departmental meetings, in-service education, and quality improvement activities Perform other related duties as assigned by Physical Therapy Management FTE 1.0- DAYS
