Growing outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center looking for Physical Therapy Technician/Receptionist needed on a part-time basis. Currently we need coverage from 1:30 pm to 7 or 7:30 pm Mondays and Tuesdays. Other hours may become available over time. We are seeking high energy individuals with one year PT tech experience who enjoy direct patient care and have excellent communication skills. This would be a great opportunity for a student interested in pursuing a career as a Physical Therapy Assistant or Physical Therapist, or any career in healthcare. It would also be a great opportunity for a retired individual looking for extra income or a meaningful part-time experience. Duties include set up and administer modalities for patient treatment as outlined by therapist. This would include placing patients in cervical or lumbar traction, ultrasound treatments, assisting patients with exercises when guidance is needed, laundry, as well as implement daily cleaning duties according to clinic policies. One year PT tech experience greatly preferred. Must be dependable with reliable transportation. Must be willing to train for front desk duties to cover these responsibilities during brief times when the receptionist is not available. This would include answering the phone and scheduling visits. Wellness Physical Medicine Center treats patients with neck & back pain, any work or sport related injury, any pre or post surgical rehabilitation needed, carpal tunnel, and injuries to foot and ankle. We provide patient education on prevention of re-injury. Need to hire within the next four weeks.
