Responsibilities Support physical therapists by preparing treatment areas and assisting with patient transfers using proper manual handling and transfer methods Assist with patient intake procedures, including documentation and initial assessments under supervision Help facilitate rehabilitation exercises and mobility activities, ensuring safety and proper technique Maintain patient confidentiality at all times, adhering to privacy regulations and hospital policies Manage equipment setup, cleaning, and maintenance to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met Provide excellent patient care by addressing questions, offering encouragement, and ensuring comfort during therapy sessions Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient schedules, follow-up appointments, and discharge procedures Skills Strong commitment to patient service with excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse client populations Practicing in a physical therapy role with knowledge of physiotherapy techniques and rehabilitation practices Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and understanding of post-acute care processes Experience with inpatient, outpatient, orthopedics, geriatrics, or sub-acute care settings is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with patient transfer methods while maintaining proper body mechanics Knowledge of CPR certification and acute care procedures to respond effectively in emergencies Familiarity with hospital protocols for maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to privacy standards This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their healthcare skills in a supportive environment.
