As an Aide, you will work alongside licensed physical therapists to provide support and assistance to patients undergoing rehabilitation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in physical therapy or healthcare-related fields.
Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists in providing direct patient care, including but not limited to exercises, stretches, and modalities under their supervision. Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Escort patients to and from therapy beds, ensuring their safety and comfort. Observe and report patient progress, reactions, and concerns to the supervising physical therapist. Assist with performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and collecting payments. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, notifying appropriate personnel of any shortages or maintenance needs. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in related fields preferred. Physical Therapy students or Aide experience a plus Experience/Interest in dealing with patient care Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting preferred. Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology preferred. CPR certification preferred; must be willing to obtain if not currently certified. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Physical ability to assist with lifting and transferring patients as needed.Job Type:
