Responsibilities The Therapy Aide is responsible for providing assistance to physical and occupational therapists in our outpatient clinic therapy department.

Role and Responsibilities:

Provides assistance to physical and/or occupational therapists by preparing treatment areas, assisting with patient care, and performing administrative tasks. Performs scheduling of appointments and chart preparation. Exhibits an understanding of basic insurance requirements. Responsible for timely start of therapy sessions and clinic flow to ensure all patients receive full treatment session. Checks patients in, helps explain financial obligations to patients attending therapy, collects co-pays and balances due. Maintains patient safety, confidentiality and empathy to provide excellent customer service. Responsible for supply management, folding of linens, and performs cleaning and packaging of sterile instruments. Maintains compliance and safety to ensure a clean, safe work environment by adhering to all rules and regulations. Ability to take initiative, follow verbal instructions and problem-solve in fast-paced environment. Administers modalities per therapist guidance and instructions. Interest in physical and occupational therapy and/or prior medical experience preferred.

Qualifications Education Required:

High school graduate or equivalent

Experience Required:

Medical experience preferred Background with exercise instruction desirable Experience with Electronic Medical Records Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills Excellent customer service skills Possesses a high degree of self-motivation USD $16.00/Hr.
