Duties Assist physical therapists with patient intake procedures and prepare treatment rooms for therapy sessions Support patients with mobility and transfer methods using proper manual handling techniques to ensure safety and comfort Help patients perform prescribed exercises, ensuring correct form and technique under supervision Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment activities, and relevant medical information while maintaining strict confidentiality Set up and clean therapy equipment, ensuring all tools are sanitized and ready for use in compliance with health standards Support hospital or clinic staff with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records Observe and report patient responses during therapy sessions to assist therapists in adjusting treatment plans accordingly Skills Strong commitment to patient service with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with diverse patient populations Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology are a plus but not required. Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting safely when assisting patients or moving equipment as needed Prior hospital or outpatient clinic experience are a plus but not required CPR certification and understanding of acute care protocols to respond promptly during emergencies are a plus.
