In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of licensed physical therapists to create a warm, supportive, and productive environment for patient treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist licensed physical therapists with various stages of patient care, including preparation, treatment, and recovery. Prepare therapy rooms and set up therapy equipment precisely according to the therapist's instructions before patient sessions. Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises under the direction of the physical therapist, modifying movements based on patient needs and therapist instruction. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to policy, procedure and regulatory requirements, and also maintain cleanliness and orderliness of therapy equipment and supplies. Provide feedback to physical therapists regarding patient responses and progress.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate degree in a related field is preferred. Previous experience working in a physical therapy setting or other healthcare environment is an asset. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centric mindset. Strong ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology preferred. Ability to work effectively as a team member, demonstrating professional work ethic and delivering high-quality work. Must possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or be able and willing to obtain one within a specified period.
