Job Description PhysioStrength Physical Therapy is a growing Tacoma-based outpatient physical therapy provider specializing in orthopedic, rehabilitation, and sports medicine care. Our outpatient and sports clinic is looking for a motivated and dependable Front Desk & Physical Therapy Aide to join our team! This position is an excellent opportunity for a student studying to become a physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, athletic trainer, or another healthcare professional, as well as individuals interested in gaining experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting. The Front Desk & Physical Therapy Aide will play an important role in supporting both the administrative and clinical operations of the clinic. This individual will be responsible for creating a welcoming experience for patients at the front desk while also assisting physical therapists and other clinical staff with daily patient care, treatment setup, and clinic operations. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, organized, energetic, and enjoys working with people. We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking initiative, working as part of a team, and helping wherever needed to keep the clinic running efficiently. Front Desk Responsibilities Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions or direct calls to the appropriate staff member Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments Assist with patient registration and completion of necessary paperwork Collect time-of-service payments and assist with basic administrative tasks Maintain accurate and organized patient information and paperwork Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and clinic staff Assist with general office organization and administrative duties Maintain patient confidentiality and follow clinic policies and procedures Help maintain a welcoming, professional, and organized front office environment Physical Therapy Aide Responsibilities Assist physical therapists and other clinical staff with daily patient flow Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies before and between patient appointments Assist with patient positioning and preparation for treatment as directed by clinical staff Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients while they perform prescribed exercises and activities under the direction and supervision of professional staff Assist clinicians with routine, non-skilled aspects of patient care Provide routine treatments such as hot/cold packs and other clinic-approved modalities as directed and within the scope of the position Assist with setup and cleanup of treatment areas and exercise equipment Monitor treatment areas and communicate patient concerns or changes in status to the supervising therapist Help therapists maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic Clean and sanitize treatment tables, equipment, and work areas Maintain adequate supplies, linens, and laundry throughout the clinic Assist with stocking and organizing clinical equipment and supplies Perform other clinic and rehabilitation support duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent Excellent customer service and communication skills Professional, friendly, and dependable demeanor Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to multitask in a busy outpatient clinic environment Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain patient confidentiality Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and remain active throughout the workday

Preferred:

Previous experience in a medical, physical therapy, athletic training, fitness, or healthcare setting Previous front desk or administrative experience Experience with scheduling or medical office software Current student pursuing a career in physical therapy, physical therapy assisting, athletic training, exercise science, kinesiology, or another healthcare-related field Interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy or rehabilitation Previous experience working with athletes or individuals participating in exercise and sports What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys working with people and wants to become an active member of our clinic team.
