Long-Term Care Physical Therapy Assistant - Full Time - Days

This recruitment is open until filled. Bartlett Regional Hospital is searching for a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Rehabilitation Services team in Wildflower Court !
Pay Information:
Internal Hires:
Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires:
This position starts at $33.49 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) shall provide selected physical therapy interventions only under the supervision and direction of a physical therapist. The PTA uses exercise and modalities in the treatment of pain and movement disorders to help restore normal movement and function in accordance to the physician's referral. Essential functions include but are not limited to supporting Bartlett Regional Hospital's strong commitment to the highest standards of business and professional ethics. Follows professional standards of APTA. Provides services in compliance with all state and federal laws governing the hospital's operations. Consistently maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, computer or other information, which might jeopardize the privacy of others. Works as a team member to meet patient and departmental goals. Physical Therapy Assistant may be asked to be traIned in other settings or skillsets including but not limited to: inpatient acute care, outpatient adult care, outpatient pediatrics, wound care, home health, and skilled nursing. Minimum Qualifications for the
Job:
Education:
Graduate of an APTA approved School for Physical Therapy Assistants. Completes annual educational requirements.
Preferred Experience:
One (1) year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience. Experience working with diverse populations including acute inpatient, CCU, rehab, pediatrics and outpatient orthopedic services. Certification(s): Current State of Alaska Physical Therapy Assistant License in good standing.
