Job Description
INPATIENT
Multidisciplinary position covering the inpatient and outpatient physical therapy setting under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Implements a plan of care in a courteous and timely manner. Communicates and documents patient care activities, needs and assessments. Coordinates patient care with other departments and external agencies. Reevaluates patients on a regular basis to ensure effective care and make changes if necessary. Provides teaching and guidance to patient, significant others and staff members. Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area. Demonstrates knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients served. Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school. Prefer one year of clinical experience. Current Alabama LPTA license. Maintains appropriate continuing education units yearly.
