Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), where you will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life. In this energetic position, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to implement personalized treatment plans, deliver hands-on therapy, and monitor patient progress. Your expertise in physiology, anatomy, and manual therapy techniques will be essential in providing exceptional patient care across diverse settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. This is a paid position that offers opportunities for professional growth and meaningful impact. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing customized treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities to facilitate recovery. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses to coordinate patient care strategies. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, address questions, and motivate ongoing participation. Support discharge planning by preparing detailed care plans and progress reports aligned with patient goals. Requirements Valid certification or license as a Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program. Demonstrated experience in outpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient care or home health environments. Proficiency in medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical assessment documentation standards. Hands-on experience with manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy and physiotherapy modalities. Ability to operate medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments safely and effectively. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver and client interaction across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) management systems for accurate medical documentation. Familiarity with orthopedics, acute care protocols, discharge planning processes, and outpatient clinic workflows is preferred. Pay:
$23.22 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
