Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (Licensed), where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional rehabilitative care to pediatric patients. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with children and their families, implementing tailored physical therapy treatments that promote growth, mobility, and independence. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will utilize your expertise in pediatric physiotherapy to make a meaningful difference in young lives, fostering progress through compassionate and skilled care. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients across various settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units, home health, and skilled nursing facilities Implement physical therapy interventions including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other physiotherapy techniques to improve mobility, strength, and function Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions while adhering to clinical documentation standards Conduct thorough clinical assessments and accurately document patient progress, treatment responses, and discharge planning in electronic health records (EHR) systems Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals—including physicians, occupational therapists, and caregivers—to optimize patient care plans and ensure cohesive treatment approaches Communicate clearly with clients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress updates, and home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and clinical documentation protocols while ensuring patient safety during all interventions Qualifications Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant with specialization or experience in pediatrics required Proven experience working with pediatric populations in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, geriatrics, or skilled nursing facilities preferred Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric physiotherapy Skilled in physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and soft tissue mobilization Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation practices within electronic health records (EHR) systems Experience operating medical equipment used in pediatric physiotherapy sessions safely and effectively Strong communication skills for caregiver engagement and client interaction; ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately Inpatient experience or outpatient clinic experience in pediatrics is highly desirable; additional experience in home health or discharge planning is a plus Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs across diverse healthcare environments Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly enhance the quality of life for children.
