Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team at Fountain Hills Post Acute. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy practices, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care across diverse settings. As a PTA, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist in patient assessments, and support recovery processes. Our main location will be located at our SNF location in Fountain Hills, but our position will require our PTA to work at Brookdale Baywood ALF as needed.

Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs. Implement physical therapy treatments, including manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other modalities. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions while adhering to clinical documentation standards. Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) and maintain comprehensive medical documentation. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and patients to ensure cohesive care plans and discharge strategies. Support patient care activities across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, home health, and clinic environments. Conduct clinical assessments and document findings clearly to inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Communicate effectively with clients and their families to explain procedures, progress, and post-treatment care instructions. Skills Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and orthopedics treatments. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation standards. Experience operating medical equipment used in physical therapy sessions with safety and competence. Familiarity with outpatient, inpatient, geriatrics, pediatrics, and skilled nursing facility environments. Ability to develop care plans that align with patient goals and discharge planning requirements. Excellent caregiver communication skills to foster trust and motivate patients throughout their recovery process. Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) management for accurate documentation of treatments and progress reports. Prior experience in acute care settings or home health environments is highly desirable. Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
