Duties Prepare treatment areas and assist with setup of therapy equipment to ensure smooth session flow Support physical therapists by providing hands-on assistance with manual handling and patient transfer methods, ensuring safety and comfort Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions, documenting progress and communicating observations clearly to the clinical team Assist with patient intake procedures, including gathering medical history and explaining treatment procedures to promote understanding and cooperation Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with healthcare privacy regulations Support rehabilitation care by helping patients perform prescribed exercises under supervision, encouraging proper technique and motivation Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored after use to uphold safety standards in the clinical environment Skills Strong patient service skills with a compassionate, approachable demeanor that reassures patients of their care journey Practicing in a physical therapy role with hands-on experience in physiotherapy techniques, manual handling, and patient transfer methods Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and hospital medicine to effectively support clinical procedures Experience working in inpatient or outpatient settings such as hospitals, clinics, or post-acute care facilities, including orthopedics, geriatrics, or sub-acute care environments Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while assisting patients or moving equipment as needed Familiarity with CPR certification and acute care protocols to respond swiftly during emergencies Excellent client communication skills to educate patients about their treatment plans and address concerns professionally This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow within the healthcare field while making a tangible difference in patients' lives.
