Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through skilled therapy interventions. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, providing manual therapy, and supporting patients across diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your expertise will help improve mobility, reduce pain, and promote overall well-being for a wide range of patients, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and those recovering from orthopedic or acute care conditions. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans for patients of all ages. Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy, and assist with modalities to facilitate recovery. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during treatment sessions while adhering to clinical documentation standards. Document patient assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical assessment documentation protocols. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure cohesive patient care. Educate patients and caregivers on therapy exercises, post-treatment care, and injury prevention strategies to foster independence. Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and uphold high-quality medical documentation practices across all client interactions. Requirements Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program. Proven experience working in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and related medical terminology. Hands-on experience with physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques like trigger point therapy. Ability to operate medical equipment safely and manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions across diverse populations. Demonstrated ability to perform clinical assessments and document findings clearly following clinical documentation standards. $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
