Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and efficient check-in process Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth to optimize clinic flow Verify patient insurance coverage, including Medicare and health insurance policies, ensuring accurate billing and documentation review Assist with medical documentation, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and review care plans to support accurate medical billing and recordkeeping Handle medical collections and process payments using medical billing software while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Maintain organized medical records and electronic health records (EHR) management, including filing and data entry with Microsoft Office tools Provide excellent patient service by answering phone calls with professional phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, and addressing patient inquiries efficiently Requirements Prior clinic experience or medical office experience is highly preferred; dental clinic experience is a plus Strong computer skills with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks Knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare billing and health information management practices Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and documentation review processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly both in person and over the phone Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong clerical skills including filing, 10-key typing, and office management tasks Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion following HIPAA guidelines Positive attitude with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical environment Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while advancing your career in healthcare support!
