This energetic position involves implementing tailored physical therapy treatments, supporting patient recovery, and collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to promote optimal developmental outcomes. You will work in a compassionate environment dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and their families through skilled therapy interventions and comprehensive care plans. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients, including those with orthopedic, neurological, or developmental conditions. Implement physical therapy treatments to improve mobility, strength, and function. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper usage and maintenance. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical documentation standards. Communicate clearly with caregivers and clients to explain treatment procedures, progress updates, and home exercise programs to foster understanding and compliance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams—including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists—to coordinate patient care and optimize recovery outcomes. Support outpatient clinic settings by adapting treatments to various environments and patient needs. Qualifications Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant with pediatric specialization preferred. Experience in pediatrics is not necessary; willing to train candidate with interest in working in pediatrics. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation standards. Familiarity with medical equipment operation and electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions; ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Experience working in inpatient settings or skilled nursing facilities is highly desirable; outpatient experience is also valued. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to pediatric needs.
