Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical documentation standards. Communicate clearly with caregivers and clients to explain treatment procedures, progress updates, and home exercise programs to foster understanding and compliance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams—including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists—to coordinate patient care and optimize recovery outcomes. Support outpatient clinic settings by adapting treatments to various environments and patient needs. Qualifications Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant with pediatric specialization preferred. Experience in pediatrics is not necessary; willing to train candidate with interest in working in pediatrics. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation standards. Familiarity with medical equipment operation and electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions; ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Experience working in inpatient settings or skilled nursing facilities is highly desirable; outpatient experience is also valued.
